May ? June, Moalboal 2007
Hi, friends of Moalboal!!
June and low season. I left Moalboal in May so I'm not really up to
date of what's happening at the moment. I got a job again together
with Chicago. If you want to see our new work place, go to
http://www.fraseryachts.com/Charter/SearchResults.aspx and type in
Marathon. Come November we will have 3 months vacation and be back in
Moalboal again.
ACTIVITIES:
Moalboal Pool championship every Wednesday at Chili Bar. Starting
20:30
Jochen, Planet Action, is still making sure that there's soccer every
Monday and Friday up in Moalboal. If you want to play, just show up
16:30.
PRACTICAL:
There is now a list at the notice board in Chili Bar where you can
tell your friends to sign up for the newsletter. Or just have them
send me an e-mail.
Simon at Beach Bar (located across from Neptune) has now taken over
the beach library. Very affordable and with a large selection.
WHALE SHARK SIGHTINGS:
To get the absolute latest whale shark sightings go to Chili Bar and
look at the notice board there. Anyone putting up a sighting receives
a free Ning-Ning drink.
LETTERS FROM ABROAD:
Marc Kolly writes: (He played soccer with us in Moalboal)
Hey Lars, nice to have news from you and Chicago.
I guess you will have a "decent" salary on that vessel, hope the crew
and
captain will be friendly with a Swedish Viking!
For us the life continue to be nice, Jessfil start a new job as
cashier at
the pool where I work, but in two weeks I'm going to reconstruct my
cross
ligament: 4 days at the hospital and then minimum 4 months out of my
job,
and 8 months before doing any sport!
It will be quiet a long summer but I will have plenty of time to sail
on my boat.
Thomas Bevenheim (Gin & Thomas) writes:
All the small mini-bars between and including Last Filling station to
little corner will be torn down. A Japanese owns it all and is about
to build something, but we do not know what.
TROPICAL TIP:
More and more people are installing or building water tanks on the
beach. Do any of you readers know how much Chlorox (5.25% Chlorine)
to add to let's say 1000 liters of water. And is it still safe to
drink? It's not easy to find other chlorine like the kind that is
safe to drink.
NELSON (our diving politician)
Nelson got elected Vice Mayor together with the old mayors wife that
became mayor. With Nelson almost at the top we hope more will be done
for divers and the tourism industry. Water to the beach at all times
and more fish sanctuaries maybe.
GENERAL:
If anyone has any information that they think would be interesting
for people on this list, please do let me know and I will add it in.
If you know anyone that would like to receive this letter, please
tell him or her to send me an E-mail at the address below and I will
add him or her. I've found it to hard to do it through
