I'm reliably informed that Simon might have some fashion tips for potential Moalboal visitors. Perhaps an update would be in order? No self-respecting visitor would wish to plan a trip without being abreast of the current seaons "must have" fashion attire.....thoughts anyone? A sarong perhaps?

No self-respecting visitor
Who told you that????? It was Jesper, wasn't it! Look, if you can't even address me properly (call me at least debonair) then you can't expect sensible replies. Judging by the latest fads and current location, lederhosen would be really in (cow skin can be bought very cheaply from the abattoir on the pier, cure & tan it yourself). A good alternative for the more risqué crowd would be extensive rubber wear. Problem is that neoprene is really all you can get hold of . . . . Perennial and practical, especially in the cold winter months (sometimes as low as 23 degrees Celcius) are jeans. These stand up well to even the enthustiastic attention of any local ladys who do your washing. Scrubbing brushes are laughed off! Do not entrust these good people with your best silk undies, you will regret it!
would wish to plan a trip without being abreast of the current seaons "must have" fashion attire.....thoughts anyone? A sarong perhaps?
For those who wish to push the bounds, then yes, sarongs are very practical and cool. Also have a variety of uses - bundle up beers to take down to the beach, emergency blanket (or pillow) when collapsed drunk by the side of the track too far from home, towel (of course), sunshade (better be wearing aforementioned silk undies though) or shopping bag. Better not to use them though for carrying weight-belts, trying to keep dry on a dive boat or as a soft mattress; pretty useless for these. I hope these few thoughts have given you some ideas to try out. You don't have to leave haute couture at home when you visit Moalboal! BTW if anyone has a photo of me in a sarong still, I'll pay well for the negatives advisor>
